Training Barrel and Pole Horses Is our Specialty
We do not specialize in breaking & starting out colts at this time. However, we will give them a solid foundation to continue to build off of that allows them to go in any direction. Between 30-60 days of wet blankets is about right to really get started on the more advanced training. We do offer training and riding packages for each individual horse that is at all the different levels in their training. Weekly video updates of your horse's progress will be sent right to your inbox when e-mail address is provided. We do ask that prior to your horse coming to The 153 Ranch, your horse has had their teeth checked and floated, a negative up to date coggins, and all of their vaccinations are (required)
All Packages are as follows but we can also tailor to your special needs,
We offer the following packages:
*The Standard Package*
This Package is the basic training for your horse that will ensure that he/she has the correct foundation that is required to start on the barrels or poles. If your horse is ready then we will proceed with the 30 days of barrel or pole training. We will not start a horse for an event until they have the correct foundation on them and are ready to proceed.
$550.00 per month, discounts for 60 days or more and for multiple horses.
*The Pamper Me Package*
The Pamper Me Package includes everything in the Standard Training, but also includes thereputic shampoo baths and massages for your future winner. It will help rejuvinate them from the added stress and muscle fatigue he/she may experience in their everyday training. Overused muscles and ligaments can slow down the progress of your horse's training. This package is only available by request.
$650.00 per month, discounts for 60 days or more and for multiple horses.
*The Go All The Way Package*
The Go All The Way Package includes all of the Pamper Me Package offers and more. With this package you will get the training, massage, and we will haul your horse to shows or rodeos (whatevers available at the time) and start exhibitioning them. This will help you get a jump start when you yourself start hauling for competition. We will enter them up and run, but that will require additional payment to cover the entry fees. This package is only available by request.
$750.00 per month (discounts for this package will depend on the cost to haul at that time)
*The Get Me Ready Package*
The Get Me Ready Package is the conditioning package to get your horse legged up and in shape to start competing. This is designed to help them bend, flex, and ready them for hauling and competing. This package provides working in the arena at a walk, lots of trotting, and canter. Cool downs are trail riding in the hay field to help them relax and keep them quiet and fresh.

Discounts for multiple horses
*The Tune Me In Package*
This Package is meant for the horse that needs some fine tuning. We will take your horse on a week by week basis or by the month (preferred). They will be given a quick evaluation to determine wheather their behavior is just an attitude problem or if there is underlying problems that may require a vet exam or a visit from the chiropractor.
