Heather is straight up and honest. She provided me a video of her mare showing all that she could do (as I have also been burned before and wasn’t interested unless I could see for myself especially since it was for my littlest girl), and I was not going to let it happen again. We had many lengthy conversations over the next couple of weeks. She told me everything about Molly. Good and bad. (Honestly, there was very little bad about Molly.) So, after about 4 or 5 phone calls, countless emails and a video, I decided to make the trek to WI. I am in Indiana so it was a good 12 hours. I was nervous, I knew that she was for certain. My gut told me this was right so we loaded up and went.
I met Heather in person right after we pulled in. Basically, we loaded Molly and left. We talked a little about feed routines and such, answered last minute questions and back down the road we went. I really wanted to ride but it was a quick trip and we had no time to do that. So, Molly went in the trailer, unridden and going off strictly what Heather had told me. Something I have never done before and not sure I’d do it again. (Unless the horse came from Heather.)
Molly was 100% what Heather represented her to be. A quiet, honest, mild mannered, good broke, been-there-done-that, safe-as-they-come horse that could barrel, pole bend, rope and goat tie. Plus, that loved to be loved and cared for by a little 5 yo girl.
Heather is honest. She tells you like it is with the horses she sells. She answers all questions without getting disgusted no matter if you already asked them 10 times. She has integrity and is a first class person. She knows her horses. She knows that doing business is not about just making the sale and taking people’s money. It’s about making sure horse and rider fit together and about making a repeat customer and friend.
We will shortly be in the market for another horse for my oldest daughter. One of my first calls will be to Heather to help in the hunt. I will have no problems dropping everything and trekking back up there to see what she has as I know I can trust her and trust the horse she is marketing.
I have been on the receiving end of some crazy, misrepresented horses, so I know how it feels to get swindled. You can have faith that Heather will be 100% truthful with you about any horse she has for sale.~D.H. in IN
